Evaporation process is one of the important separation technologies, typically used for the separation of evaporable materials from non‑evaporable materials. The main control parameters of evaporation include evaporation temperature, evaporation concentration, and evaporation duration. The multi‑effect evaporation process currently promoted by Bamuzii involves connecting multiple evaporators in series, using the secondary steam from the previous effect as the heating steam for the next effect in a tandem evaporation operation. This achieves heat energy conservation by gradually utilizing the latent heat of steam. In each effect, the operating pressure, heating steam temperature, and solution boiling point decrease sequentially. In industrial applications, 2 to 3 effects are most commonly used, with up to 6 effects to balance operating costs and equipment expenses. The final evaporation concentration of the material is set according to its properties, ultimately achieving the purpose of material separation, recovery, or disposal.
